Prime Minister's Prize for Science Teaching

2018 PRIME MINISTER’S PRIZES FOR SCIENCE - ONLINE NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN

First stage of nominations open until Monday, 26 March 2018, 5.00 pm AEDT

Each year, the Australian Government honours and celebrates the achievements of Australia’s best scientists, innovators and science teachers through the Prime Minister's Prizes for Science, the nation’s pre-eminent science, research-based innovation and science teaching awards.

In 2018, the Prime Minister’s Prizes for Excellence in Science Teaching are open to nominations of mathematics and technology teachers for the first time. Part-time teachers are also eligible to nominate.

Teacher awards available include:

  • The Prime Minister's Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Primary Schools ($50,000) 
  • The Prime Minister's Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Secondary Schools ($50,000) 

Prize recipients will receive national recognition and meet leaders in science, industry, education and government at an awards dinner in the Great Hall of Parliament House, Canberra.
