Plate Tectonics – integrated story for junior Science & Humanities (linked to rocks/climate changes/ use of resources and the land) – (year 8 Science, geography)

Rock & Critical Minerals Kits (TESEP Aust. Rock & Critical Mineral Kit Teaching Packs) & Integrated Stories (Year 8-12 STEM/EES)

Fossils, Evolution & the 5 Big Extinctions (Aust. fossil changes through time, big extinctions, integrated plate tectonics/climate & volcanic events) (Year 9-12 STEM/EES)

School: Bendigo South East College, 56 Ellis St, Flora Hill 3550 (Bendigo), Vic   

Meeting Room: Sign in at front office and get directed to the meeting room, (BYO lunch)

1. PD workshops – Professional development workshops for teachers (3-PD/ sessions @ $70 per attendee for visiting teachers, FREE to host-school teachers – lunch included).

3. ASTA Certificate of attendance – A certificate of hours and workshop outcomes will be issued.

4. FREE kit – Host to receive a FREE rock or critical mineral kit and Plate Tectonics poster.

5. Introductory Rocks/Critical Minerals – feature How to Use the Rock & Critical Mineral Kit and Teaching Pack (Earth history in rock/mineral stories, 3D renders, virtual thin sections/outcrops). 

6. Subsequent RocksExpo topics can be chosen from TESEP’s “The Challenging Earth” series 

Presenter: Rod Boucher is a keen ore geologist, who has worked in industry across Australia. 

He has many years of studying the geology of the region and in teaching earth science.
