The Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA) is seeking primary and secondary educators to join the CSIRO Science Education Reference Group (SERG).

This is a unique opportunity to provide vital insights that help develop innovative learning programs and classroom resources delivered by CSIRO Science Education and Outreach (CEdO) across Australia.

Advocate for science teachers by helping ASTA and CEdO better address the diverse needs of science educators in Australia.  

Provide a voice for educators and schools in all areas including underrepresented groups in STEM.   

Collaborate with passionate educators from across the country while enhancing your expertise.  

The details    

We are looking to pay 10 teachers to:

  • attend four one-hour meetings during 2025 
  • review and provide feedback on CSIRO’s education plans, programs and resources to ensure they meet the needs of teachers and students nationwide  
  • offer insights and recommendations to align with classroom requirements and emerging trends in education.
