Publishers send ASTA copies of general science and science teaching resources for review and we have a group of qualified teachers and educators from across Australia who volunteer to write reviews on these resources. ASTA regularly publishes the reviews in our quarterly journal, Teaching Science, as well as making them available here on our website. The good news is that reviewers get to keep the resource they review.
ASTA is currently looking for reviewers interested in resources suitable for primary school students.
If you this is of interest to you, please fill in the application form at the bottom of this page.
The following are some of the recent resource reviews taken from the pages of Teaching Science:
Teaching Einsteinian Physics in Schools (69.1)
The Origin of Life in Fire and Ice (68.4)
Carbon — The Unauthorised Biography (68.3)
Poo, Spew and Other Gross Things Animals Do (68.2)
The Way of the Weedy Seadragon (68.1)
