TESEP RocksExpo – Coonabarabran and Warrumbungle National Park

 

Friday 25 August

Afternoon PDs: 3.30 to 6pm. Rocks & the Rock Cycle, Our Place in Space, Australian Volcanoes.

Venue: Library Meeting Room, Coonabarabran High School, Newell Hwy, Coonabarabran, NSW

School Facilitator: Maleisah Eshman

PDs may be followed by a networking event at Crystal Kingdom, Coonabarabran – TBC.

 

Saturday 26 August

Morning Field Trip: 8.30am to 12pm. Warrumbungle National Park Geotrail. A drive / walk from Coonabarabran to the Warrumbungle NP Education Centre to examine volcanic rocks, landforms, flora, fauna and Aboriginal culture with geoscientists and biologists.

Afternoon PDs: 1.15 to 5.30pm. Volcanoes, Critical Minerals and the Energy Transition, Wet Rocks (groundwater and artesian basins).

Venue: Warrumbungle NP Education Centre or Coonabarabran High School – TBC.

School Facilitator: Wesley Leedham or Maleisah Eshman (depending on venue)
