ASTA provides advice to government, industry and others within the science and education eco-system. We do this as we wish to ensure the perspectives of school science educators are captured, providing the best possible teaching, and learning outcomes for our educators and students. We also want those that engage us to achieve the best possible outcomes for themselves.
Many organisations wishing to interact with schools, educators and students seek our help in the design, delivery, and review of programs, events, and resources they have developed or wish to develop.
Our advice is provided by school science educators who bring their unique insights and experiences to help achieve the best outcomes for all parties.

Cotton Australia is an organisation passionate about education and providing high-quality resources and experiences to students and teachers. We strive to ensure our free digital resources are continually updated and relevant to the needs of educators and with that in mind, we engaged the services of the Australian Science Teachers Association to assist us correctly link our new Cotton Education Kit to the Australian Curriculum along with all senior state and territory syllabi. Their professionalism and expert advice was invaluable and we could not be happier with the results. I have no hesitation in endorsing ASTA as an organisation to collaborate with and look forward to working with them in the future.
When the Australian Academy of Science planned to review Science by Doing program activities to ensure they were all up to date with 2021 safety guidelines for school science, we reached out to Science ASSIST for advice and guidance. I’m so glad we did. Science ASSIST provided such comprehensive information in useful, easy -to-understand ways. More than an extensive knowledge of school science safety requirements across each state and territory, Science ASSIST also knows how schools work and what teachers and lab technicians need – a winning combination that makes a real difference for teachers, for schools and for students. Thanks Science ASSIST – keep up the great work!
